Upgrading my 80's Nadine Stratocaster copy
My late 80's "Nadine Standard" has been sat in a case for 15 years. It's in need of a little TLC.
Rather than just cleaning it up and fitting some new strings, I want to see what upgrades I can make to get it playing as well as it possibly can! It should be a good way for me to learn more about guitar setup, and get back into playing more.
A familiar looking shape, but never heard of Nadine guitars before? It's not surprising. Step this way. About the guitar
That fret board needs a good deep clean, and conditioning.
Some of the screws are a bit rusty, and the frets need a polish.
I've heard this can be fixed by placing in boiling water with something heavy resting on top.
Alternatively, now might be a great time to replace it with a loaded pickguard with new pickups!
Since getting an Ibanez with locking tuners, they're so much easier when changing strings!
Fitting some locking tuners should be a great simple upgrade.
It has a standard 6 screw Strat style synchronized trem. What other options are there for potentially replacing the bridge.
Is this a job I want to take on?!
